Mail a gift to Falkner Heritage

Checks may be made payable to Falkner Heritage. Every dollar goes into the Heritage Park, the Museum, and the Community Center now under construction.

If you would like your gift directed to a specific project — the Community Center, the Cooper Hill School House, or the Memorial Garden — simply note it with your donation.

Where your gift goes

Straight into the ground, and then into the walls

Proceeds from project events, generous donations, contributions and gifts fund Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the Falkner Heritage Community Center Project.

  1. Phase 1 — Complete

    Foundation & Slab

Paid for entirely by donations. Poured and ready.

  2. Phase 2 — In progress

    Framing & Roofing

Conventional framing, architectural shingles, windows and doors. Estimates are being taken now.

  3. Ahead — Funding needed

    Completion & Fit-out

Continued funding resources will be needed for further construction — the kitchen, restrooms, interior and mechanical work.

Six ways to help

Not every contribution is money

Give toward construction

Mail a gift of any size to Falkner Heritage, PO Box 113, Falkner, MS 38629. Gifts are what carried Phase 1 across the line, and they are what will carry Phase 2.

Dedicate a bench or streetlight

The wooded grove is ringed with donated, personalized metal benches and streetlights, each given in someone’s name. Call 662-587-4067 to ask about dedicating one.

Bid on Phase 2

Builders and contractors: the Town of Falkner is taking estimates for framing and roofing. Plans are approved and may be viewed at the Town Hall. Call 662-512-8048.

Come to an event

The Fall Festival Car & Jeep Show, Founders Day, the Quilt Expo — project events are a genuine funding source, and the best afternoon you’ll spend in Falkner.

See what’s coming

Volunteer a day

Setting up for events, keeping the grounds, staffing the museum, cataloguing photographs. If you have a Saturday, there is something to do with it.

Share what you have

Photographs, school records, store ledgers, depot memorabilia, family stories. The museum was built from what people brought in — and it is still being built that way.

Thank you

Many thanks to all of you who have been, and continue to be, a part of this project. Without your continued support we fall short of our goal to complete the Falkner Heritage Community Center.

We believe this project is valuable to the wellbeing of the Town of Falkner, the community, and our next generation. We also believe that the generosity of the people of Falkner can bring this project to completion.

“May our Lord continue to direct us as we strive to make Falkner, Mississippi a memorable spot in North Tippah County, and make you proud to be from Falkner, MS.”
